  West Welding Oy is part of the Viafin Oy -group. The Viafin group own also Terästorni Oy, wich is situated in Lappeenranta, Finland. Best known for its range of pressure vessels and heat exchangers to handle a wide variety of gases, acids, corrosive and combustible liquids, high pressures and excessive heat, West Welding is also well known for boiler feed water packages, waste heat recovery and economizer systems for onshore and offshore installations.
Engineering and production To ensure the fastest delivery at a competitive price, engineering and production teams work together from the outset to produce cost-effective and functional designs. Through many years of experience, the design team, together with the shop floor workforce, have developed a full appreciation of the engineering materials and manufacturing methods needed to produce a quality product. Quality control The field in which West Welding operates is one where quality products are demanded. To meet this requirement the Company operates in accordance with ISO 9001 and the quality Controls as set down by several internationally recognised Control organisations. The use of the COlTect design software, including the use of HTFS for thermal rating of heat exchangers, ensures rationality of engineering and integrity of the product. Standards worked to include PED, BS5500, ASME VIII division 1 & 2, SS-standard (SAQ), Gost-norm for Russia, TÜV Ad-Merkblatter, and NORSOK. The finished products are inspected by an independent NDT inspection agency prior to the client's final inspection. » Sertification » Achilles A modern workshop with wide-ranging facilities The size and weight of the finished product could be problematic as far as lifting and transportation is concerned. In order to overcome this, West Welding has continually invested in specialist equipment to safely lift and transport the raw materials and finished products.
