Pressure vessels West Welding has developed its expertise in the field of pressure vessels over many years, during which time numerous projects have been completed for industrial companies in different fields of activity. West Welding is able to roll both carbon and stainless steel plates up to 60 mm thick and 4.100 mm wide, and produce vessels to a maximum weight of 180.000 kg. Materials include low-temperature carbon and stainless steel, duplex, carbon steel-clad and other exotic materials including aluminium. West Welding's long-standing and close relationship with local plate and head suppliers enables it to achieve fast deliveries. The spacious production facilities and versatile equipment for processing, welding, lifting and transportation allow for ease of manufacture and movement of even the largest vessels. The production of pressure vessels requires approved manufacturing methods, precise design and comprehensive documentation. To meet these requirements the company operates in accordance with ISO 9001! and is licensed as a pressure vessel designer and manufacturer by the Finnish pressure vessel inspectorate. Standards worked to include Finnish SFS, BS5500, ASME, PED, Swedish SS-standards (SAQ) and NORSOK. Heat exchangers A wide range of exchanger designs for a variety of applications West Welding designs and manufactures a variety of shell & tube exchangers including single-pass, multi-pass, floating head, "U"-tube and finned pipe type exchangers. Finished products can be supplied as loose items or as part of a process skid package. Mechanical and thermal design West Welding uses the internationally approved HTFS software for design and thermal optimization, with mechanical design to Tema "R" and provides both thermal and mechanical guarantees. West Welding is also happy to manufacture to customer's own thermal specifications. Piping assemblies Extreme service conditions demand uncompromising dependability from the piping assembly. Welding of piping assemblies is carried out in accordance with the following standards: ASME IX, BS, NORSOK, and European standard EN288. Welders are certified to EN287. Preparation at the workshop Piping assemblies in difficult and corrosive service place great demands on materials, their durability, flexibility and weldability. West Welding is able to work in all grades of carbon steel, stainless steel, special steels and acid and heat-resistant materials. West Welding has the advantage of being able to prepare and test the piping assemblies in its own workshop, as well as long term experience of installing them on site at various locations. Expert installation West Welding is able to provide expert on-site assembly, which is a pre-requisite for trouble-free operation. Essential maintenance is carried out by the company's own fitters, who are familiar with both the installation and the site. Process skids West Welding has experience in the design of skid packages and modules for both onshore and offshore applications. Modularization of process packages allows for ease of installation, start-up and commissioning. Manufacture under workshop conditions ensures a quality product. West Welding has experience in the design and fabrication of process skids, including complete boiler feedwater pumping and deaeration systems, fuel-oil pumping and pre-heating and units in cryogenic service. West Welding is able to build skids of varying sizes to the Customers' process design. West Welding is also experienced in the design and manufacture of modular systems such as Waste Heat Recovery Units, Economizers, super-heaters and other large systems associated with power generation, as well as Cold Box Assemblies for oxygen plants. The process design of Super- heaters, Economizers and Fuel-Oil Pumping Systems is within the company's capability.
